Just a question... where u wrote "create another layer paste in another image" do u actually drag the image in the layer? because when i did that the layer becomes the background. I'm new to ps you see so thxs for answering.

No. When you click and drag a layer to the new layer button, it makes an exact copy of that layer. For example, if you drew a smiley face on the background layer and then dragged the icon of the background layer onto the new layer button, you'd get another layer with a smiley face.

This can be extremely useful in some cases, but in this instance I was talking about creating a new, blank layer (just click on the little button circled in the tutorial) and pasting in a new image with ctrl-v (or EDIT--->;PASTE).
